Ecological materials and innovation
Many factors influence our capacity of reaching carbon neutrality and zero waste goals. Choosing sustainable and progressive materials is one of the most reasonable steps because materials account for more than 70% of any product’s carbon footprint.
We respect the origins of our materials and the stories behind them. Nature creates the most sustainable materials suitable for eco-friendly production. Wholly sourced in Europe, our materials and components guarantee uncompromised performance and safety whilst considerably minimizing our carbon footprint.
Materials
We produce our parallettes from aluminium that can be recycled forever without losing its physical properties. Using recycled materials helps to decrease carbon footprint compared to virgin ones. This year, we are not using recycled aluminium yet, due to high MOQ requirements of recycled aluminium per order.
Our straps are made from recycled materials instead of virgin nylon. Recycled Fiber is made from PET bottles and old yarns meeting GRS certification. At least 90% of nylon used in our straps is recycled.
Marmati gym rings are made of sustainably sourced birch plywood from Baltic region. It is made from only top quality birch veneers laminated together with no filler wood.
We use recycled paper for boxing of our products and also for any additional product inserts. Production of recycled paper uses less energy, water and generates lower carbon emissions than non-recycled paper production, while reducing landfill waste. Paper can be recycled up to 5 times in a row.
We use vegan leather for the endings of the straps on our gymnastic rings. This small vegan leather component is made in China. The leather part is joined to the strap ends with button, making it fully detachable after end of use. It makes recycling of the straps much easier and convenient.
Marmati plywood rings are painted with Osmo natural wax that is based on natural vegetable oils (65% solids, sunflower oil, soybean oil, thistle oil) for natural protection of the surface of wood. It creates a semi-glossy protective film that repels dirt, has an antistatic effect, protects against unwanted drying and moisture. The colour is made in Warendorf, Germany.
The ergonomic handles for weightless gymnastic rings are made from recycled aluminium in China, using the method of sand casting. The exact type of aluminium is ZL104.
