rPET WEBBING

  • We use for the webbing rPET yarn sourced from the Netherlands consisting of 97.0% Recycled Post-Consumer Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), 3.0% Conventional Polyester
  • The yarn has been inspected and assessed in accordance with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
  • The weaving of the yarn that results in the strap takes place in Slovakia.
  • Maximum breaking load for strap: 1,971daN / 2,009kg.
  • Webbing is 38mm wide, 3mm thick
  • Built with 1.5km of rPET yarn
  • Scale from 1 to 13 on each strap with 5 mid-points between each range.
  • Side stitching is applied on the webbing to prevent fraying.
  • Ultra-soft webbing technique usually found in seatbelts prevents skin burn.

 

WEIGHTLESS HANDLE

  • We make the weightless handle from recycled aluminium by a traditional method of sand casting.
  • The application of the sand casting method for manufacturing allows us to conserve natural resources and save energy.
  • Sand casting is an environmentally friendly process where 99% of materials can be recycled.
  • The handle is finished with sandblasting and powder coating for the highest comfort.
  • Powder coating is a recyclable, solvent-free coating method, meaning it does not produce harmful compounds or create air pollution.
  • The total weight of one weightless handle is 750g.
  • Built with corrosion-resistant and strong aluminium (85%) and softening silicon (9%).

     

    FAST-CLIP CONNECTION

    • Quick release buckle is 100% zinc.
    • The buckle is coated for corrosion resistance.
    • Maximum breaking load for buckle: 14kN / 1415kg in a loop configuration.
    • Intuitive fast-clip and quick-release are enabled by two brass clips.
    • Release under tension is impossible when the load is within the maximum breaking load.
    • The cut-out on the downside of the buckle prevents the build-up of dirt, dust, ice and snow.
    • You can set up gymnastic rings 14x faster compared to gym rings with an average buckle.

     

    WEBBING CLIPPER

    • The webbing clipper helps to organize the remaining length of the strap.
    • It is 58mm wide, with an inner height expandable from 2mm to 30mm.
    • The clipper is made from HDPE to ensure strength and flexibility.
    • It could replace the Velcro fastener, but we use it as an addition so you can choose for yourself.

      We are living in a fast-paced era and exercising on old-fashioned gymnastic rings with slow-motion buckles. Our fast-clip buckle, usually used by climbers, provides the most efficient and user-friendly locking mechanism. It allows you to set up the gymnastic rings in milliseconds thanks to the fast-clip connection. Never get frustrated by unreliable, breaky and ugly buckles again.

      Intuitive length adjustment

      Don't waste your time when the timer is ticking during the workout. Use your rest time in between sets for rest, not getting nervous. Adjust the length of the straps intuitively by placing the fast-clip buckle into a horizontal position, then pull the strap to the position you want.

      Precise position

      Scale from 1 to 13 on each strap with 5 mid-points between each range provides precise adjustment of both straps to the same length. When you are not in the correct horizontal position during exercise, you unintentionally focus on one hand, or one shoulder, or one ...you get it.

      It could be a bottle of your favourite lemonade in the past

      We focus on circular manufacturing processes that have high recyclability. Sand casting has a huge potential to achieve this circularity. It is a traditional technique of metal parts production by pouring molten metal into the mould cavity formed in sand. Generally, it is an environmentally friendly process where 99% of materials can be recycled. When we take the aluminium out of the mould, it remains extremely recyclable.

      The lighter, the better for the planet

      The weightless aluminium handle is built with corrosion-resistant and strong aluminium (85%) and softening silicon (9%). Our aluminium handle combines low weight with high strength, which is standard, especially for automotive and aeronautical applications. Considering the whole lifecycle of any component, the lighter it is, the less environmental impact it leaves behind.

      What if garbage isn't garbage

      We took thrown-away plastic bottles, shredded them, dissolved and turned them into granules. Then, the granules undertook a spinning process to become rPET yarn. The weaving process resulted in the final shape of our webbing. The whole process of creating webbing from one of your lemonade bottles could take years. However, it started with a very straightforward idea; what if garbage isn't garbage?

      When it comes to sustainability, material choice is crucial

      RECYCLED GRANULATE

      Washed and shredded plastic bottles into flakes are then melted down and forced through the extruder. The plastic that comes out of the extruder is cut into small particles to form granulation.

      SHREDED PLASTIC BOTTLE

      Every year billions of PET bottles are collected across Europe, before being compressed into bales and sent to recycling plants. The plastic bottles are sorted by the type of plastic they're made from. The material that we use is made from clear PET bottles.

      rPET YARN

      The granulates are shoved through hot pipes and melted into a thick liquid. That liquid flows through the dye plate holes to form filaments. Once the filaments pool and harden, these are sent over rollers with air entangling the filaments to create a floss-like yarn. In short, spinning is turning the granulate into durable rPET industrial yarn. The resulting yarn is ready to be woven into our high-tenacity straps.

      METAL SLOTS

      We use recycled aluminium ingots for manufacturing of weightless handle. The ingots are placed into a melting pot, heated until molten, and then poured into the sand moulds until filled.

      BIRCH PLYWOOD

      Wooden rings are made from only top-quality birch veneers laminated together with no filler wood. All the used wood comes from certified or controlled forests. Marmati ensures responsible forest management through the PEFC forest certification processes of our manufacturing partners.

      MEET THE NEW STRENGTH

      RECYCLED STRAP FOR GYMNASTIC RINGS IS THE STRONGEST EVER MADE. THE STRAP WILL HOLD 1.4 TONNES.

      Is it really made from rPET bottles?

      Although the strap is made from plastic bottles, it represents no limit to how much it can withstand. We constructed it with a special weaving technique that improves the strength of the yarn. Yarn is also reinforced with a strengthening component. 97% of yarn composition is plastic bottles, and 3% is ultra-strong ingredients. It is so strong that you'd need to hang at least 10 lions off it before it would break. Just as it is unlikely you'll manage to catch 10 lions, it is unlikely that your total weight during exercise will exceed 1.4 tonnes.

      A pair of buckles can withstand tonnes of force

      The buckle is built from high-strength and corrosion-resistant alloy. It has a unique locking mechanism where release under tension is almost impossible. When the buckle is in the loop configuration; probably the only way to hang our straps; it can withstand 14 kilonewtons of force before breaking. Which is 1.4 tonnes. As you rarely exercise only with one strap of gymnastic rings, a pair of buckles will withstand 2.8 tonnes. Rotate on gymnastic rings, perform kipping exercises, jump on it, and wear the heaviest vest on the planet, and still, feel as safe as never before.

      The webbing has been specially developed for Marmati

      When we approached the industrial webbing manufacturer in the west of Slovakia, they recommended a unique weaving technique to construct straps. Their experiences range from making straps for military applications to weaving the world's strongest fibres. The strap for our gymnastic rings was uniquely developed for Marmati. You won't find it on any other gymnastic rings.

      Side stitching prevents fraying

      Side stitching on the straps is performed as the last process of manufacturing straps, just before high-strength sewing of the buckles. It adds an extra layer of strength to the straps and prevents them from fraying, especially when in contact with rough surfaces (tree branches, rocks, concrete and wood beams)

      Orders from our EU and Global store are shipped from our warehouses in Slovakia, Europe. UK orders are shipped from warehouses in the United Kingdom for the most efficient and eco-friendly method of delivery.

      It takes 2 business days when shipping to Slovakia, 2-4 business days when shipping within the EU, and 9 - 14 business days when shipping outside of Europe.

      We offer free worldwide shipping on all orders over 100€.

      If you're in the EU then no import duties will apply. If you are outside of the EU, we are not responsible for customs/duties charges. These costs are determined by your local customs office.       You can perform more exercises on gymnastic rings than on bars solely. Gymnastic rings can be set up to any length and this increases or decreases the intensity. Last but not least, you can train anywhere.

      Yes, our gymnastic rings are suitable for outdoor and indoor workouts. Our wood, aluminium, straps are weather resistant. When straps get wet, it causes no harm to them.
